Visual Stimulation
Vision contributes largely to the daily activities of the child as he/she has to interpret and utilize what is seen in order to play, form letters, read and move around in the environment. When vision is affected, development or motor performance is also affected.
Occupational therapy based with a reference of visual perception, helps to identify problems at the perceptual level, providing exercises, methods or activities to directly improve and/or offer adaptations to increase academic efficiency.
The therapist also evaluates ocular muscle movement to identify difficulties, strengthen muscles and to adequately provide a referral.
