Speech therapist, graduated from the faculty of health sciences at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 2012, and licensed as a Language Therapist from the University Santa Paula in 2014. Member of the Costa Rican Association of Therapists since 2014.
My academic training allows me to work in English and Spanish with different populations, from pediatrics to the elderly with various language, speech and voice dysfunctions. My work in early childhood involves oral language development, listening comprehension, articulation difficulties, verbal expression and the ability to work with children on the autistic spectrum. I have experience with the adult neurological population rehabilitating communication and speech in patients who have suffered a stroke, using different rehabilitation methods and techniques to improve their global communication. Through cognitive stimulation, I work with older adults who have symptoms of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases.
